In my postdoctoral project funded by Academy of Finland I’ve been developing crowd-powered decision support systems (DSS).
Traditionally, DSSs are heavy and tailored towards serving organizational needs.
What we’re interested in exploring is how to create DSSs “on the fly” and for the needs of the small guy.
While we’ve been busy implementing prototypes and concepts (see related publications listed at the end), we’re also focusing on more societally meaningful and very challenging problems. Our two spearhead projects deal with racism and low back pain (unfortunately in Finnish only).
A public demo of the platform I’ve developed is live at http://crowdbrain.io!
